Configuring Web services

    You use Mac OS Server Admin to configure Web server settings. The first time you set up Web services, you should review each setting available to you.

    To configure Web services, follow these steps:
    1 Open Mac OS Server Admin and log on to the server you want to configure.
    2 Press the Web Services button and choose Configure Web Server.
    3 Click each tab (General, Plug-Ins, MIME Types) in the Web Server Settings window and select the settings you want.
    4 Click Save and close the Web Server Settings window.

Configuring advanced settings

    You can use AppleShare IP Advanced Setup software to configure a variety of advanced HTTP and HTTP Log options for your Web server.

    Note: If Web service is turned on, you must turn it off before you can configure advanced settings.

    To access AppleShare IP Advanced Preferences settings:
    1 Open AppleShare IP Advanced Setup (located in the Web & File Server folder in the AppleShare IP folder on your server.)
    2 Open the Server menu and choose Open Advanced Preferences.
    3 In the AppleShare IP Advanced Preferences window, click each tab (Web, HTTP Log, and Misc) and select the settings you want.
